Photography has been part of my life for many years, shaped by the coast where I grew up, the places I have travelled and the subjects I keep returning to. I am drawn to photographs that have a strong sense of atmosphere or character, and to moments that still feel alive to me long after they were made.
The work on this site brings together images made over many years in Britain and around the world. I have selected the photographs that feel strongest to me and chosen to offer them as limited edition prints.

When someone chooses one of my photographs, I want it to feel like more than simply ordering a print. I am always happy to discuss a particular image, edition or size, and to help with the practical details of choosing a photograph for a home or interior project.
I also welcome enquiries from interior designers, art consultants and anyone choosing work for a hotel, restaurant or commercial space. ANDREW LEVER
I began making photographs in the days of film and darkroom printing, which gave me a strong grounding in tone, composition and the finished image. When digital photography arrived, I embraced it fully and enjoyed the freedom it gave me to work in both colour and black and white, while exploring a much wider range of subjects.
Since then, my work has moved naturally between the coast, surfing, horses, wildlife, flowers and travel. I have never wanted to narrow myself to one genre; that variety is part of what keeps me curious and engaged.

Each photograph is produced in a limited edition, with each listed print size having its own edition quantity. Every print is made to order and comes with a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

I’ve chosen these wave photographs because each one reveals a different character of the ocean. Some are quiet and subtle, while others feel almost abstract, sculptural or intensely dramatic. I like the fact that one subject can produce photos with such completely different moods.

WAVES
SURFING
Some of my favourite surfing photographs happen away from the obvious moment of action. A lone figure crossing wet sand, a reflection, a board carried back from the sea, or a surfer reduced to a small shape against the ocean can sometimes say more than the ride itself.

SEASCAPEs
I’m often drawn to seascapes where the scene has been reduced to just a few elements — a horizon, distant birds, soft colour, or the meeting of sea and sky. Those quieter moments can hold my attention for a long time, precisely because there is so little competing for it.

TRAVEL
Travel appeals to me because I never know what I am going to find — a landscape, a fleeting human moment, an animal or some small detail that catches my eye. That unpredictability keeps me curious.

FLOWERS
Flowers give me a chance to work very differently from the sea, horses or travel. What fascinates me is the extraordinary variation within something so familiar — the structure of a petal, the intensity of a colour, or the balance created by a single bloom against a simple background.

Some photographs just work better for me in black and white. Without colour, I notice different things — the curve of a horse, the shape of a wave, a reflection, or the way a figure sits within a landscape. Monochrome can simplify a scene, but it can also give it greater strength.

HORSES
What interests me most when photographing horses is how much can change in an instant. A slight turn of the head, the way a mane falls, a moment of eye contact or simply the way a horse holds itself can completely change the feeling of the picture. Those small differences are often what make me want to take the photograph.
